Responsibilities:

• Oversee payroll processing, including wages, bonuses, deductions, and garnishments, ensuring compliance (e.g., FLSA, IRS).
• Manage and mentor the payroll team, fostering accuracy and accountability.
• Administer payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and implement upgrades/integrations.
• Prepare/review payroll reports, tax filings, and reconciliations; support audits.
• Develop/maintain payroll policies and procedures for efficiency and compliance.
• Partner with HR on benefits, timekeeping, and onboarding/offboarding; collaborate with finance on budgeting.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly.
• Identify process improvements through automation and best practices.
• Monitor payroll-related laws and industry trends for compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (Master’s/CPA a plus).
• 3+ years of payroll experience, including 1+ years in leadership.
• Expertise in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and advanced Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and tax compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
• Multi-state or international payroll experience a plus.
