Your Role : As a Benefits Consultant - Remote, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, welfare, and wellness programs such as health insurance, life and disability, HSA, FSA, and health support initiatives.

You will assist and/or lead the development and design of benefit plans, programs, and procedures, and lead in their implementation. You will make recommendations to offer cost-effective and competitive employee benefits. You will respond to complex inquiries from employees and dependents regarding eligibility, claims, appeals, and benefit plan provisions, ensuring compliance with ERISA regulations. Additionally, you will develop and implement new regulatory policies and procedures, provide guidance and training to team members, and work with legal counsel, payroll, vendors, and auditors to resolve issues. You will perform accurate and timely plan filings, amendments, and notifications in accordance with applicable laws. You will also develop company-wide and custom benefits and wellness communications and activities, including new hire training and program implementation.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years’ experience in the health and welfare benefits field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present and consult with employees at all levels
  • Ability to analyze complex data, develop reports, and communicate findings
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to employee benefits

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional designation (e.g., CEBS, CBP or equivalent)
  • Active participation in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for the role
