The role requires 5+ years of payroll experience, multi-state knowledge, and proficiency with major payroll systems; CPP is preferred. Hybrid or on-site schedule with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG, Paylocity, or similar).
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle payroll processing for multi-state employees bi-weekly/semi-monthly.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Lead payroll audits, reconciliations, and year-end activities (W-2s, 1099s).
  • Oversee payroll systems administration, maintenance, and enhancements.
  • Partner with HR and Finance for benefits, bonuses, commissions, etc.
  • Manage and mentor payroll staff, providing training and development.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process standardization.
  • Support external audits and respond to payroll-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and reporting
