Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Payroll Manager for a 12-month position in the Administration Building/Business Office. The role requires managing payroll and related accounting tasks for Board employees, using automated systems to process time sheets and deductions.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting (or an Associate with relevant experience) and several years of payroll processing, with strong organizational and communication skills to handle high-volume workloads accurately.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred; associate degree required in accounting.
  • Five years payroll processing experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of payroll, basic bookkeeping and record-keeping procedures.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares employee payrolls in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Receives and reviews time sheets; posts and verifies payroll deductions.
  • Transmits payroll information to automated payroll system and reconciles payroll register.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reports for withholding taxes and related programs.
  • Operates Microsoft Office and MUNIS HR/Payroll System or similar system.
