Job summary

Genuine Search Group in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Payroll Leader to manage end-to-end payroll for a multi-state, high-volume environment. You will ensure accuracy and compliance using UltiPro, handling complex transactions across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of payroll experience, CPP/FPC certification preferred, and advanced Excel skills. You will collaborate with internal teams, respond to inquiries, and support audits while maintaining strict deadlines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of multi-state payroll experience in high-volume environments.
• Experience with multi-entity payroll structures (multiple FEINs).
• CPP or FPC certification preferred.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. wage and hour laws, payroll taxes, and garnishments.
• Experience with UltiPro is required.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll using UltiPro.
• Manage payroll transactions including hires, terminations, transfers, and deductions.
• Reconcile and validate payroll data prior to submission.
• Process special payrolls such as bonuses and year-end adjustments.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve payroll inquiries.
• Respond to employee questions on pay, taxes, deductions, and leave balances.
• Investigate and resolve complex payroll issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Support audits and respond to government inquiries.
• Manage multiple priorities to meet payroll deadlines.

• Reconcile and validate payroll data prior to submission
• Process special payrolls, including bonuses and year-end adjustments

• Investigate and resolve complex payroll issues and escalations
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

• Manage multiple priorities while meeting strict payroll deadlines

Qualifications

• 7+ years of multi-state payroll experience in a high-volume environment
