Job summary

Arrow Search Partners in New York is seeking an experienced payroll professional to manage multi-state payroll for a complex structure with payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with HR to resolve pay inquiries and ensure timely payments to employees and agencies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 6-8 years of multi-state payroll experience, with UltiPro expertise and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6-8 years of multi-state payroll experience.
• Experience with multi-company payroll structures.
• Experience with UltiPro required.
• Experience with IBM Cognos Business Intelligence preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables to support payroll reporting and reconciliation.
• CPP or FPC certification preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. wage and hour laws, garnishments, and federal, state, and local tax withholding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees and statutory agencies.
• Process payroll changes and special transactions including compensation changes, address and work location updates, and garnishments.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate payroll reports.
• Process payroll related to bonuses and year-end adjustments.
• Partner with HR to resolve employee pay inquiries.
• Address employee payroll inquiries related to leave balances, garnishments, deductions, retroactive pay, and tax questions.
• Support the resolution of escalated payroll issues including inquiries from government agencies and internal stakeholders.

Salary Range

$120,000 -$130,000
