The role requires 5+ years in payroll with at least 2 in leadership, strong Workday experience, and a solid grasp of federal/state regulations. This hybrid role offers growth, competitive benefits, and a focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience with Workday (required) and UKG (preferred).
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Payroll team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.
• Train, and develop Payroll staff, providing ongoing coaching and performance management.
• Oversee all payroll activities, including regular and off-cycle payments, audits, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and stay current on regulatory changes.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, reporting, and analysis, including ad hoc data requests.
• Drive process improvements and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and standard operating documentation.
• Support payroll systems, including upgrades, testing, and technical enhancements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations and inspire a team of Payroll professionals at our Catonsville, Maryland home office. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll leader who will oversee end-to-end payroll operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Compensation:

• Commensurate with experience from $91,000–$100,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus
