Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience: Four (4) years of increasingly responsible payroll administration experience.
• Experience with Workday Payroll and HCM preferred.
• CPP or FPC certification preferred.
• Background check and pre-employment drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll delivery for all City employees including general government and fire personnel.
• Run payroll, review adjustments, and approve cycles and off-cycle payments.
• Administer Workday payroll, time tracking, absence, and scheduling modules.
• Audit payroll data for accuracy and compliance; prepare month-end and year-end reports.
• Provide training on payroll processes for new staff and supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with FLSA, IRS regulations, and local laws.
