Job summary

Homebase is seeking a Project Lead to own the end-to-end payroll implementation for small businesses, guiding customers from kickoff to first payroll run. You’ll collect complex data, train users, and resolve regulatory questions, in collaboration with Sales and an Onboarding Specialist.

You will work hybrid from Denver and closely partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales to improve payroll functionality and customer experience while maintaining accurate Salesforce records.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an Implementation, Onboarding, Payroll, or Project Management role at a SaaS company; payroll implementation experience strongly preferred.
• Proven project management experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Advanced in Excel or Google Sheets; comfortable cleaning, reconciling data.
• Hands-on experience with CRMs (Salesforce), phone systems, and basic technical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end payroll implementation experience — primary contact from kickoff through first payroll run.
• Collect and reconcile complex customer data including entity details and YTD records.
• Train customers on Homebase Payroll to ensure confident onboarding.
• Investigate and resolve customer payroll questions by researching regulations and troubleshooting issues.
