Job summary

California Conservation Corps is seeking a Personnel Specialist for our Transactions Unit to ensure accurate, timely pay and benefits for CCC employees. You’ll handle payroll processing, time and attendance, and personnel transactions such as appointments, separations, and promotions while applying state rules and bargaining unit agreements.

You will work across multiple systems, research and resolve issues, and deliver responsive customer service to employees and leaders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll and time and attendance information.
• Ability to apply state rules, policies, and bargaining unit agreements to personnel transactions.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process and audit payroll and time and attendance information.
• Process personnel transactions such as appointments, separations, transfers, promotions, retirement and other changes.
• Assist employees with benefits, leave programs, and required documentation.
• Research and resolve payroll and personnel issues.
• Provide responsive customer service to employees, supervisors, managers, and staff.
