Job summary

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Administrative Services, is recruiting for three Human Resource Technician 2 positions located in Juneau, Alaska. You will join the HR team to process payroll, provide technical information, and support managers and employees in a collaborative environment.

Under supervision, you will perform timely and accurate payroll processing, leave and personnel action reviews, and audits in accordance with Personnel Rules and bargaining unit provisions.

Qualifications

• Six months of entry technical level experience in HR work or related field.
• High school graduation or the equivalent and one year of advanced clerical experience.
• One year of postsecondary education (32 semester hours or 48 quarter hours) equals one year of experience or substitution.

Responsibilities

• Provide payroll processing, certification, review and audit of payroll, leave and personnel actions.
• Offer technical information, support and assistance to DFG managers and employees.
• Ensure compliance with Personnel Rules, bargaining unit provisions, and related statutes.
