Job summary

Exo Group, LLC is seeking a capable HR & Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing across multiple states using Insperity, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist with broader HR initiatives. The role emphasizes accuracy, discretion, and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will handle benefits administration, audits, and coordination with leadership to maintain consistent HR practices while supporting recruitment and onboarding activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience with responsibility for payroll, compliance, and employee relations.
• Proficiency with payroll processing systems and HRIS software; UKG and Insperity experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, payroll regulations, and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely multi-state weekly payroll using Insperity, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage payroll records and resolve complex payroll issues, including discrepancies, wage garnishments, tax filings, deductions, taxation, and employee inquiries.
• Monitor and analyze payroll and HR data to ensure accuracy, compliance, proper reporting, and data integrity within the HRIS.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable requirements; stay current on regulatory changes and HR best practices.
• Maintain, update, and implement HR policies and procedures in collaboration with leadership, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate with external auditors to support payroll, HR, and regulatory compliance.
• Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, terminations, and employee support regarding benefits-related questions.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, leave management, and other HR programs in partnership with department managers and leadership.
