First National Bank Alaska is seeking a Human Resources Specialist I in the Payroll Dept. This role administers and provides SME support for key HR functions, helping ensure accurate payroll processes and effective HR initiatives across the bank.

You will collaborate with management to analyze HR data, support recruitment and benefits programs, and assist with employee relations and training efforts, while adhering to regulatory requirements and bank policies.

Qualifications

• Four years HR experience with expertise in recruiting, compensation, benefits, training and development or employee relations.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration or related field; can substitute for 2 years experience.
• Knowledge of HR best practices and regulatory environment.
• PHR, SPHR, CCP or CBP preferred; experience in banking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administers a key HR function and provides support bank-wide in HR practices.
• Assist recruiting efforts by conducting interviews and building networks; aid compensation/benefits programs.
• Serve as SME, analyze requests, research solutions, and escalate complex issues.
• Compile HR metrics, analyze trends, participate in market surveys and data analysis.
