This position combines payroll leadership with basic HR administration to support rapid growth and compliance across multiple states.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience, preferably with supervisory exposure and union payroll nuances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive full cycle payroll experience; supervisory/lead experience
• Extensive knowledge of multi-state payroll operations
• Experience with union contractor payroll nuances a plus
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivots)
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Review offer letters and coordinate onboarding/offboarding for new hires
• Oversee daily payroll operations and timely payroll processing
• Manage employee benefits enrollments and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/union regulations and filings
• Provide payroll error resolution and manage off-cycle payrolls
• Assist with HR issues and escalate to leadership when needed
• Collaborate with accounting on accruals and labor cost reporting
• Support Payroll Specialist and provide backup as needed
