Job summary

Whitehall City Schools in Ohio is seeking a Payroll/Finance Clerk to support the Treasurer/CFO and maintain accurate fiscal records in line with Auditor of State standards.

The role covers payroll processing, benefits enrollment, W-2 reporting, and assisting with budget preparation, policies, and cross-department collaboration. A strong detail orientation and proficiency in Microsoft Office/USAS/USPS is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with USAS/USPS and Frontline products.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong problem solving.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reconciles, and files all payroll tasks (semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and annual).
• Maintains employee payroll files and assists HR with information as approved by BOE.
• Assist certified and classified union presidents with sick leave donation requests.
• Assist employees with benefit programs, including enrollment and annual open enrollment.
• Process annual salary notices, W-2 reporting, and payroll data for appropriations and cost studies.
