Job summary

Opendoor is seeking a payroll and equity analyst to support day-to-day payroll processing and equity administration across US and Canada. You will work under the Payroll and Equity Manager as a shared analyst for payroll and equity events, coordinating with managers on timing, withholding, and reconciliation.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of US and Canada payroll experience across multi-state/provincial tax compliance
• Multi-entity payroll experience across hourly and salaried populations
• Technology-forward approach using AI to automate work
• Ability to handle confidential data with accuracy and discretion

Responsibilities

• Support multi-entity, multi-country payroll processing for US and Canada
• Assist with payroll tax compliance federally, state/provincial, and local jurisdictions
• Support quarter and year end processes, including W-2/T4 configurations
• Partner with Payroll and Equity on equity payroll events like RSU vestings, ESPP purchases
• Reconcile payroll records against equity systems (E*Trade)
• Manage state/province-specific deadlines and cross-border sourcing for employees
• Use AI to reduce manual processes and improve data flows
• Prepare payroll/equity journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Respond to employee questions with speed and discretion
• Collaborate on system enhancements with Accounting, People, and Equity
