About the Role
The Senior Payroll and Equity Analyst provides expertise on multi‑country payroll regulations and end‑to‑end support for global equity administration processes. The role includes processing payroll semi‑monthly, researching issues, answering routine questions, and ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations. Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion are essential.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of recent, steady payroll processing experience in a professional, corporate environment of 1800+ employees.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of equity processing of RSUs and PSUs.
- Strong experience with multi‑state withholdings.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, independently or within a team.
- Integrity to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely payroll data to other departments as required.
- Analyze and resolve payroll‑related questions by collecting and analyzing information.
- Coordinate the semi‑monthly payroll using ADP’s Vantage or ADP Payforce solution.
- Coordinate on‑cycle/off‑cycle processing and daily review of outstanding errors.
- Conduct audits of semi‑monthly registers and quarterly employee taxable wages.
- Address inquiries and concerns related to payroll issues.
- Research and complete requests for confidential information from outside agencies.
- Process garnishments, wage assessments, child support orders, spousal support orders, and tax levies.
- Process overtime for hourly employees.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Perform related duties and special projects as required.
- Participate in training to enhance necessary skills.
- Assist with administrative tasks.
- Create ad‑hoc reports regarding payroll information as needed.
- Process remittances for third‑party deductions, withholding tax, and employer payroll tax as required by business processes and tax authorities.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local laws influencing payroll matters.
- Review and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions timely and accurately.
- Support the global equity program including processing stock proceeds through payroll, integrating data changes into the stock management system, and setting up necessary tax and profile information for all equity‑eligible employees.
- Prepare and process equity transactions such as new equity awards, vestings, releases, and monthly and quarterly stock reports.
- Assist with annual grant processes and global vesting of RSUs and PSUs.
- Provide compliance reports, employee informational training, and collaborate with Legal, HR, Payroll Accounting, and Tax departments.
Additional Characteristics
- ADP Vantage experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Canada payroll processing a plus.
- Good working knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably Workday.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and data analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong understanding of fundamental concepts and theories.
Scope of Impact / Degree of Independence
Contributions are usually limited to task‑related activities. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results may cause delays or errors in employee pay and may require resources to rectify. Performs basic tasks and functions for the professional field of work according to established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems; escalates more complex problems to the appropriate Senior Director of Payroll. Plans work within specified deadlines and according to priorities.
