Job summary

KAPtivate Consulting LLC seeks an experienced Payroll Director to own payroll for a diverse workforce. Lead end-to-end payroll processing across union, salaried, and hourly staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include tax filings, benefits deductions, timekeeping oversight, and improving payroll processes to support the business. Strong knowledge of union contracts and multi-frequency payroll required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of payroll experience.
• Experience with union payroll and multiple pay frequencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple employee groups: weekly for union employees, bi-weekly for non-union and salaried staff
• Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with union contracts, wage scales, labor laws, and benefit provisions
• Manage tax filings, deductions, benefits administration, and all reporting requirements
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies while proactively improving processes
• Maintain detailed payroll records and deliver clear, accurate reporting to leadership
• Oversee timekeeping and attendance systems to ensure seamless, compliant tracking

Annual Responsibilities

• ACA Reporting: verify and distribute 1095-C forms
• Year-End Processing: manage W-2s, update holiday calendars, and set up the following year’s payroll schedule
