Job summary

Fourth is seeking a Customer Success Manager, Payroll to own adoption, retention, and expansion for Payroll and PEO accounts. You will manage a portfolio of large and mid-sized clients, coordinating with Payroll Operations, Tax, and Benefits to ensure accurate payrolls, on-time filings, and compliant benefits enrollment.

This specialist track focuses on payroll domain, tax, and compliance. You will distinguish issues requiring Compliance/Legal sign-off and drive renewal and expansion

Qualifications

• This role requires 1–3+ years in customer success or account management with payroll/PEO/HCM.
• Experience supporting payroll and benefits domains with regulatory awareness.
• Ability to triage compliance issues and escalate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own ~75–125 large/medium Payroll/PEO accounts across the lifecycle.
• Define account value moments: clean payroll, accurate tax setup, on-time filing, benefits enrollment.
• Coordinate with Payroll Operations, Tax, and Benefits to hit milestones quickly.
• Monitor payroll accuracy and filing timeliness as churn indicators.
• Differentiate payroll/PEO/tax/benefits issues and flag compliance-critical items.
• No signing or discount authority; focus on renewal/expansion signals.
• Flag at-risk PEO accounts for executive attention and remediation.
