Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, HR or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent written, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and manage competing priorities for accurate payroll processing.
• Ability to work flexible hours during holiday weeks or condensed payroll periods.
• Ability to learn quickly and write routine reports in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interpret instructions and analyze data to support decisions.
• Desire for growth within the human resources function.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the payroll time and attendance process.
• Ensure accurate weekly hours for hourly and salaried non-exempt employees.
• Edit hours rules and timecard adjustments per Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Create pay adjustment files (grievances, upgrades, health club, etc).
• Update shifts, pay rules and area changes.
• Perform pre and post audits of the payroll process.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
• Process deductions including child support and garnishments.
• Audit and process Employee Change Notices.
• Maintain and administer vacation payouts, carryovers and accruals.
• Calculate and create gainshare payout files.
• Administer various allowances and payouts according to policies.
• Assist in HRIS record maintenance and audits.
• Conduct timekeeping training for supervisors and new hires.
• Fulfill reporting requirements (weekly, monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc).
• Maintain positive interface with employees and management regarding payroll questions.
