Job summary

Lochridge-Priest Inc. in Texas is seeking an entry-level Payroll Coordinator to support certified payroll reporting and daily payroll administration across multiple companies. This hourly, non-exempt role provides hands-on training under the Payroll Manager and offers growth opportunities in payroll processes.

You will gather timecards, employee details, and project data, maintain organized records, and help prepare routine reports and audits while learning ComputerEase and other payroll systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior payroll experience required; training will be provided.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, organizing, submitting, and tracking certified payroll reports across multiple companies, with training and oversight.
• Gather timecards, employee information, project details, and supporting records needed for certified payroll reporting.
• Maintain accurate and organized payroll files, submission confirmations, checklists, and reporting schedules.
• Review information for missing details or apparent errors and bring questions to the Payroll Manager for guidance.
• Learn weekly and semi-monthly payroll procedures and cross-train to assist with backup coverage as skills develop.
• Assist with routine payroll data entry, timecard checks, employee updates, and documentation under established procedures.
• Help prepare payroll reports and supporting documents for audits, benefits, and other recordkeeping needs.
• Learn to use ComputerEase and other company payroll, timekeeping, and HR systems.
