Job summary

Merrimack College seeks a Payroll Coordinator to manage electronic processing of student, adjunct and non-exempt payrolls. You will administer the college’s Time & Attendance system, ensure time entry accuracy, supervisor approvals, and timely payroll data submission.

You will coordinate end-to-end processing for about 600 student employees, 150 non-exempt staff, and 300 adjuncts, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting to ADP and to Fiscal Affairs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma; minimum two years payroll experience.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficient with web-based payroll and reporting software (ADP).
  • Microsoft Excel and basic Word knowledge.
  • Familiar with state and federal wage-and-hour regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer payroll for student, adjunct and non-exempt staff.
  • Process bi-weekly student payroll (~600 employees) and semi-monthly non-exempt payroll (≈150).
  • Process monthly adjunct faculty payroll (≈300).
  • Coordinate timekeeping, auditing, and accruals; ensure accuracy in ADP system.
