Job summary

Nassal, a Nassal office within the PCL family, is seeking an Accounting Student to support our team in Orlando, FL this May–August on a full-time basis.

You’ll assist with collecting, reconciling, and processing vendor payments, prepare bank deposits, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders while building professional relationships and applying accounting fundamentals. You will gain hands-on experience with vendor payments, bank deposits, and the policies that guide our practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, plus organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting software is a plus.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Authorized to work in the United States; 18+ with a valid driver’s license.
• Available in Orlando, FL, full-time from May to August; drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the accounting team by collecting, reconciling, seeking approval, and processing general vendor payments through PCL business systems as requested, in a timely and accurate manner to meet payment terms and conditions.
• Understands and complies with all labor provider agreements, government legislation, PCL policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Prepares bank deposits and subsequent cash receipt entries where required.
• Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders, as required.
• Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
• Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline preferred.
• The successful candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Basic skills using Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge and/or experience withaccounting software an asset.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Available to work in Orlando, FL, full-time from May to August.
• Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.
