Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas in Hartsville, SC is seeking a Payroll Specialist to review and validate payroll data, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and maintain accurate payroll records.

You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure seamless data flow, support year-end processes, and respond to employee inquiries with professionalism. This onsite role requires 3+ years payroll experience and a degree in accounting or related field.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably with outsourced payroll providers.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing and validating payroll data prior to submission, including timekeeping records, deductions, bonuses, and other adjustments.
• Audit payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the vendor and internal departments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Maintain payroll documentation and records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Support year-end processes including W-2 review, tax filings, and audits.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in the implementation and optimization of payroll systems and processes.
• Monitor vendor performance and participate in periodic reviews and evaluations.
• Additional Responsibilities as Assigned.
