Job summary

Enclave, headquartered in West Fargo, ND, is seeking a Payroll & Compliance Specialist to own biweekly payroll and weekly certified payroll reporting. You will partner with HR Operations to document processes, strengthen controls, and automate where possible, ensuring scalable payroll that supports growth.

Responsibilities include payroll administration, audits, recordkeeping, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance, HRIS, and Legal to maintain compliance and data integrity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in payroll administration; equivalent combination of payroll experience and certification considered in place of a degree.
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and regulations, including wage and hour and payroll tax requirements.
• Prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, and public works reporting experience preferred.
• Experience with UKG Pro and other HRIS platforms; ADP, Workday, Paylocity or similar systems accepted.
• Familiarity with payroll audits and year-end processes (W-2) preferred; CPP or FPC certification is a plus (sponsorship available).
• Construction/real estate or multi-entity environment experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Administer biweekly payroll for all employees and ensure accuracy per schedule and company policies.
• Review and validate payroll transactions including hires, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, and benefits.
• Audit payroll registers, earnings, deductions, taxes, and direct deposits prior to finalization.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and research issues to ensure accurate pay.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation; coordinate payroll funding with Finance.
• Manage weekly certified payroll for prevailing wage and public works projects; ensure compliance.
