Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a Payroll & Compliance Associate to join the Finance team in Massachusetts. The role focuses on handling payroll tax notices, coordinating with government agencies, payroll providers, and offshore teams, while also managing incoming mail and supporting ad hoc finance projects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and 1+ year of payroll/compliance experience, with strong communication and research skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 1+ year of experience in payroll, compliance, finance operations, or related function.
• Excellent communication skills – confident and professional with government agencies and external providers.
• Strong research and problem-solving ability to resolve notices efficiently.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
