Job summary

The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) is seeking a Fiscal Analyst 2 to maintain accurate payroll records for Lakeland Village in Medical Lake. You will input hours, monitor leave, and ensure compliance with state rules and union contracts.

The role requires attention to detail, data handling of payroll and spending, and timely communication with staff and managers. This on-site position includes potential 5% premium pay for working on-site three days or more per

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 18 quarter hours or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.
• Master's degree in a finance-related field or professional certification (CPA/CIA/CGFM/CMA) can substitute for professional experience.
• Equivalency of education and/or relevant experience may substitute for the desired qualification on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Enter work hours and leave time for Lakeland Village staff into the state payroll system.
• Check payroll paperwork for mistakes before entry.
• Add up leave balances, part-time hours, overtime, and unpaid leave each pay period.
• Follow state, federal, and agency rules, plus union contracts, when processing pay and leave.
• Check payroll and leave records for errors and fix them.
• Answer questions from staff and managers about leave and pay.
• Track spending and supplies for the Local Funds program.
• Build weekly and monthly reports on Local Funds spending.
• Ensure pay is charged to the correct fund.
