DSHS Lakeland Village – Licensed Practical Nurse 2 (LPN2)

Join the team at Lakeland Village Residential Habilitation Center in Medical Lake as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 and make a meaningful impact. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with cognitive disabilities, supporting their health, well‑being, and dignity. As part of a dedicated team, you’ll help foster a collaborative environment where inclusion, respect, and empowerment are at the core of everything we do.

Some of what you'll do:
  • Provide treatment and nursing care for people who have developmental disabilities and/or other neurological, physiological, or behavioral health disorders.
  • Assist in developing and managing Individual Habilitation Plans for residents and clients to help improve and maintain health.
  • Implement care plans, administer medications, and assist the physician and other medical staff with treatments and exams.
Desired skills, knowledge, and abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to apply practical nursing principles and best practices
  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting basic physical assessments and treatment techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on compassionate, person-centered care

  • Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.

Lakeland Village is a state-operated, 24-hour residential facility serving approximately 210 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Located in Medical Lake and established in 1914, it offers a range of services through certified Nursing Facility and Intermediate Care Facility (ICF/IID) programs. Residents receive comprehensive care that includes medical and nursing support, therapeutic programming, and individualized treatment plans designed to promote independence and quality of life in a home-like setting. Lakeland Village also offers day programs focused on sensory integration, vocational training, and recreational activities, along with short-term respite services for eligible individuals.
