Job summary

CFS in Connecticut is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our HR team. You will oversee biweekly and monthly payroll cycles, ensure accuracy and compliance, and administer employee benefits with a focus on quality service.

The role includes driving ongoing HRIS data integration, electronic record building, and supporting modernization efforts. You will reconcile benefits billing, handle statutory filings (941s, 990, 5500), and partner with leadership to optimize payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll processing and reporting.
• Experience with Paylocity or similar payroll/HRIS systems.
• Knowledge of payroll-related regulatory filings and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee biweekly and monthly payroll cycles using Paylocity with high accuracy.
• Drive HRIS data integration and modernization initiatives.
• Manage onboarding, benefits administration, and statutory filings (941s, 990, 5500) with reconciliation.
• Calculate and administer FMLA, state leave, and payroll adjustments as required.
• Ensure regulatory alignment and participate in HR projects with leadership.
