Job summary

YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas is seeking a Director of Payroll & Benefits to lead payroll accuracy and benefits administration across the association. You will oversee HRIS, data integrity, and regulatory compliance while partnering with Finance and program leaders to drive efficient HR operations.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, 3+ years of payroll experience, and Dayforce/HRIS familiarity. Strong analytical, confidentiality, and communication skills are essential for success in this

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years in payroll administration.
• Experience administering employee benefits programs.
• Experience with HRIS (Dayforce preferred).
• Knowledge of federal/state/local payroll laws and FLSA.
• Excellent data confidentiality and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for the Association.
• Administer employee benefits programs and enrollments.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and reporting.
• Generate payroll, benefits, and HR reports on a regular basis.
• Coordinate training and process improvements with HR and Finance.
