Lakeshore Foundation is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to administer payroll and benefits, support the Director of HR and Controller, and ensure accuracy of compensation, benefits, and compliance for a nonprofit organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, accounting, or related business field preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in benefits administration and payroll processing.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with an employee/payroll system; ADP payroll processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of employee benefits administration, including enrollments, communications, maintenance, and COBRA compliance.
• Process bi-weekly payroll transactions and assist employees or supervisors as needed.
• Maintain payroll and benefits systems, including password resets and updating employee information.
• Maintain records to support salary and benefits expenses in the general ledger.
• Maintain payroll tax filings and reconcile to quarterly and yearly reports.
• Process and reconcile W-2s at year-end with ADP support.
• Process ACA forms at year-end.
• Produce and distribute payroll and benefits reports as required.
