Job summary

Eaton County Health & Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Payroll/Benefits Specialist to administer payroll, benefits, and HR-related tasks within the Administrative Services team. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness in processing payroll, benefits enrollment, and related reporting.

You will collaborate with Finance and HR to ensure fair pay structures, assist with budgeting data, and support daily operations across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience with payroll/benefits.
• FPC/CPP/CEBS certification optional within 3 years.
• Excellent math and Excel/database skills.
• Commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full payroll process, time clock data, deductions, taxes, and reports.
• Back up for month-end payroll journal entries and budgeting data.
• Administer FMLA and COBRA benefits, enrollments, and benefits deductions.
• Maintain accurate personnel files and respond to payroll inquiries.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure policy compliance.
