Beep, Inc. is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to own accurate, compliant payroll and employee benefits administration.

This mid-level, hands-on role sits at our Orlando headquarters and supports team members across multiple states, collaborating with HR, Finance, and outside vendors. You'll manage payroll processing for hourly and salaried staff, administer benefits programs, lead open enrollment, and ensure ACA/ERISA/ COBRA compliance while maintaining strict confidentiality and data

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of combined experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Experience with payroll/HRIS platforms such as Paylocity, ADP, Gusto, Rippling or Workday.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax rules and wage‑and‑hour law (FLSA).
• Familiarity with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets with pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time for hourly, salaried, and multi-state employees.
• Review timekeeping data, pay changes, bonuses, commissions, and off-cycle payments.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax and wage-hour regulations.
• Process garnishments, retroactive pay, and year-end adjustments.
• Reconcile payroll registers and coordinate with Finance on GL entries and audits.
• Answer employee questions about pay and deductions with clear communication.
• Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement programs.
• Lead open enrollment activities and process new hire enrollments and terminations.
• Serve as primary contact with brokers and third-party administrators.
• Support leave of absence administration (FMLA, state leave, disability).
• Assist ACA/ERISA/ COBRA/ HIPAA filings and notices.
