Job summary

Kirtland Credit Union in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to manage day-to-day payroll processing and group benefit programs, including tax payments and employee inquiries.

You will maintain accurate electronic records, run bi-weekly payroll, oversee year-end reporting, Open Enrollment, and coordinate with plan vendors. A bachelor’s in accounting or business and 3–5 years of related experience are preferred; PHR or payroll certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of directly related payroll and benefits experience.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing is highly desired.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook; strong data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day payroll processing for the organization.
• Oversee employee benefit programs and related filings, including IRS, state and local taxes.
• Maintain electronic employee records and ensure accuracy of compensation and demographics.
• Process bi-weekly payroll and assist with year-end reporting (W-2).
• Coordinate Open Enrollment and benefit renewals with vendors.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
