Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–3 years focused on payroll and benefits functions.
• At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Payroll processing: supervise and verify bi-weekly or semi-monthly payrolls with accurate taxes, garnishments and deductions.
• Benefits administration: manage reconciliation of employee benefits (medical, dental, 401(k), FSAs).
• Compliance & auditing: ensure adherence to tax laws, FLSA, ERISA.
• General ledger reconciliation: post payroll/benefits journal entries and reconciliations.
• Vendor management: liaise with payroll providers and benefits brokers to resolve discrepancies.
• Reporting & analysis: compile payroll expenses and labor cost data for budgets.
