Job summary

HandCraft Services, a family-owned industrial laundry and textile provider in the Mid-Atlantic, seeks a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and day-to-day benefits administration. You will handle HRIS records, assist with enrollments, and serve as a resource for employees while collaborating with HR, Finance, and vendor partners.

The role requires at least 3+ years in payroll/benefits or related HR operations, strong Excel and Paylocity experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in business, HR, accounting or related field.
• Experience in payroll and benefits administration is required or highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, timekeeping, and employee record maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regular payroll processing in the HRIS/payroll system, including collecting, reviewing, and entering time data by deadlines.
• Audit payroll data for accuracy, including hours, overtime, PTO, new hires, terminations, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Maintain accurate payroll and personal information and process changes.
• Respond to pay-related questions from employees and managers, resolving issues with payroll provider or internal partners.
• Reconcile payroll reports and deductions, support tax and year-end reporting, maintain payroll documentation.
• Prepare employment and income verifications and distribute payroll statements.
