Pinnacle Living is hiring a Payroll and Benefits Systems Manager to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across its Virginia communities. You will serve as the primary payroll system administrator, managing data, reporting, and benefit/deduction configurations.

The role requires collaboration with HR, Finance, and vendors, handling year-end activities and ensuring compliance. Strong ADP experience and Excel skills are essential; a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience are

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of payroll processing, payroll accounting, benefits data administration, retirement plan contributions, payroll taxes, and internal controls.
• Strong experience with ADP or a comparable payroll system, including data management, reporting, system configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas) and ability to work with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processing for Pinnacle Living communities and affiliated entities, ensuring accuracy and deadlines.
• Coordinate payroll compliance and year-end activities (tax reporting, W-2s, garnishments).
• Maintain system configurations, earnings/deduction codes, workflows, user access, reporting, interfaces, and data integrity.
• Serve as payroll system administrator and SME for payroll software.
• Enter and maintain approved benefit elections and deductions in the payroll system.
