Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Administrator in Seattle to manage multi-state payrolls, benefits and HRIS systems. You will administer ADP Workforce Now, oversee year-end processing, W-2s, ACA reporting, and vendor integrations while driving internal controls and process improvements.

The role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Five or more years of progressively responsible experience administering multi-state payroll, benefits, and HRIS.
Deep knowledge of payroll administration, benefits, HRIS management, and compliance.
Strong understanding of federal and state payroll tax laws, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and retirement plan administration.

Responsibilities

Administer accurate multi-company, multi-state payrolls in compliance with regulations.
Maintain payroll records for hires, changes, leaves, and terminations.
Manage payroll taxes, unemployment, workers’ compensation, and year-end processing.
Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Administer company-sponsored benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, retirement, HSA/FSA, COBRA, wellness).
Lead ADP implementations and onboarding for acquisitions and new populations.
Research and optimize system enhancements, workflows, and security.
Produce dashboards and reports using ADP Workforce Now, Excel, and Power BI.
Support audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
Train HR staff and managers on payroll, HRIS, and benefits systems.
