Job summary

MediLodge in Livonia, MI is seeking a Payroll & HR Coordinator to join our team. You will process payroll, onboard/offboard employees, and ensure compliance with pay guidelines while supporting payroll-related initiatives.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in payroll or human resources.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college courses in accounting or business preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll guidelines and HRIS data.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll according to federal/state/facility pay guidelines.
• Complete interviews, onboarding, orientation and offboarding of employees.
• Maintain pay practice documentation and monitor pay programs.
• Coordinate PIB process, verifying election status with other benefits.
• Post required state and federal posters in appropriate locations.
• Ensure HRIS contains correct employee information (SSN, job title, FLSA status).
• Review time and attendance reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Back up to SDC for WOTC compliance and to HR Coordinator as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Essential Function:

• Process payroll in adherence with federal/state/facility/regional pay guidelines.
• Completes interviews, onboarding, orientation and offboarding of employees.
• Ensures that pay practices are documented, pay rates and programs are monitored and that merit increases are timely.
• Coordinates PIB (pay-in-lieu of benefits) process, including verifying that employees do not elect PIB when enrolled in any other benefit plans (excluding the retirement savings plans).
• Posts state and federal posters required by law in appropriate locations.
• Ensures that the HRIS contains correct employee information including; social security number, job title and FLSA status.
• Reviews employee time and attendance reports for accuracy and completeness, and makes corrections as necessary.
• Serves as a backup to the SDC to ensure WOTC compliance and backup to Human Resources Coordinator as needed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
