Job summary

The Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois (TRS) is seeking a Payroll and Insurance Analyst I to provide basic accounting and administrative support, processing annuitant payroll and insurance forms across multiple systems, and responding to member inquiries. This role requires strong data entry, attention to detail, and accuracy in documentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with payroll and benefits systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic accounting and administrative support to Payroll and Insurance Department.
• Review and input Participation Election forms and ensure data accuracy in TRS and CMS systems.
• Prepare stop payment requests and respond to inquiries from annuitants and beneficiaries.
• Maintain and update membership records and assist with payroll and insurance discrepancies.
