Watchtower Security, a leading provider of video surveillance solutions for multifamily housing, is seeking a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team in Maryland Heights, MO. You will own bi-weekly payroll processing for exempt and non-exempt staff and manage key accounts payable activities with accuracy and discretion.

The role emphasizes collaboration across HR and vendors, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting month-end close.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2–5+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience, multi-state preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; knowledge of basic accounting.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Review timecards for completeness and accuracy before payroll processing.
• Handle payroll adjustments, garnishments, deductions, and tax levies.
• Process commissions and bonuses with correct regular-rate overtime calculations.
• Coordinate with HR on hires, terminations, and employee changes.
• Process accounts payable invoices, payments, and vendor reconciliations.
• Maintain vendor files, collect W-9 forms, and assist with 1099 reporting.
• Support month-end close and audit requests; strengthen controls.
