Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Payroll / Accounts Payable Disbursement Specialist to ensure accurate, timely disbursement of payroll and vendor payments. The role supports payroll and AP operations, maintains controls, and coordinates ACH, garnishments, and year-end processing.

Responsibilities include processing checks/ACH payments, performing audits of payroll data, handling inquiries, and assisting with annual 1099 preparations while ensuring SOX compliance and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of payroll / accounts payable and vendor disbursement experience.
• Payroll FPC certification or IOFM certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll and AP disbursements (checks, ACH, pay cards).
• Audit timecards and payroll reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Manage garnishment payments and respond to inquiries from vendors and employees.
• Assist with year-end 1099 prep and vendor corrections in Workday.
• Support internal controls and SOX documentation; respond to audits.
