Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks an Accounting Associate for our Wallula, WA facility. The role covers payroll processing, accounts payable, and general accounting duties to support monthly financial reporting.

The successful candidate will manage weekly payroll, verify timecards, maintain records, and provide reports to management, while upholding company policies and confidentiality. On-site role with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a High School diploma required.
• One (1) year previous work experience in a business office/accounting function with exposure to general ledger, payroll, and/or accounts payable functions.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly Mill payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Produce timely payroll reports and analysis.
• Process vendor A/P invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain vendor records and support monthly accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Provide general administrative support to Mill Controller, Mill Manager, and HR Manager.
• Post entries to the general ledger and balance accounts.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
