Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an Accounting Associate in Ohio to maintain all accounting records, produce timely reports, and support month-end closings. The role requires accuracy in posting to the general ledger, processing payables, managing payroll data, and providing general administrative support.

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma with 1+ year in accounting or office functions, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of accounting procedures.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma required.
• 1+ year experience in a business office/accounting function with exposure to general ledger, payroll, and/or accounts payable.
• Solid working knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Post entries to the general ledger and balance accounts.
• Process accounts payable transactions including batch payments.
• Manage accounts receivable activities and perform adjustments as needed.
