Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks an Accounting Associate to maintain accounting records and provide timely reports and analyses in line with company policy and GAAP. This role supports the plant’s month-end closings, payroll processing, and AP/AR activities.

The position requires a high school diploma and 1+ year of accounting office experience; proficiency in Excel is preferred. On-site role with competitive pay and benefits in the Tennessee area.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to high school diploma required.
• 1+ year experience in a business office / accounting function with exposure to general ledger, payroll, and/or accounts payable.
• Solid working knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Post entries accurately to the general ledger and balance accounts.
• Process accounts payable transactions including batch payments.
• Post, audit and collect accounts receivable transactions and adjustments.
• Support weekly hourly payroll processing.
• Assist in month-end closings of plant financials.
