Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an Accounting Associate in Wisconsin. The role focuses on posting to the general ledger, accounts payable processing, accounts receivable adjustments, and assisting with weekly payroll.

You will support month-end closings, maintain financial files, and respond to corporate requests while upholding PCA’s record-keeping policies. This position emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to high school diploma required.
• 1+ year experience in accounting or business office with GL/payroll/AP exposure.
• Solid knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Post entries to the general ledger accurately and completely.
• Verify and balance general ledger accounts.
• Process accounts payable transactions and batch payments.
• Post and audit accounts receivable transactions and adjustments.
• Assist with weekly payroll processing.
• Aid in month-end closings for the plant.
• Maintain accounting and payroll files and backup documentation.
• Respond to corporate requests and filings in a timely manner.
