Job summary

SanStone Health Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation seeks a Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team in Hendersonville, NC. The role covers payroll processing for hourly and salary staff, plus incentive bonuses, and requires careful wage, tax, and benefit handling.

You will also reconcile invoices, input payments, and support AP activities while assisting with new-hire paperwork and background checks per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update bi-weekly payroll data in the payroll system, include both hourly, salary, and incentive bonus programs
• Record changes affecting wages, which may include, taxes, direct deposits, wage increases
• Review payroll registers and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
• Provide weekly payroll data entry within set timelines
• Reconcile, code, enter invoices and upload into accounting system for payment
• Contacts suppliers, buyers, and employees for questionable items on invoices
• Performs basic AP Analysis with knowledge of policies and procedures such as researching invoices by contacting vendors and/or buyers and receiving
• Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees, helping with the understanding of company benefits, payroll processes, and company policies based on employee handbook
• Ensure all new hire paperwork and background checks are completed within state guidelines
• Assemble, audit, and maintain new hire personnel files for all active projects
• Respond to verification of employment requests with 48 hour
