Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions.
Job Summary
The Payroll and Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for posting company payroll, and related accruals, maintaining accurate financial records, maintaining confidentiality, posting accounts payable invoices, and managing timely disbursement of payments to vendors. This role ensures compliance with all applicable laws and internal policies while supporting the finance department in reporting and audits.
Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities
Requirements:
Education/Experience
BS in Accounting or Finance highly desirable as well as related clinical trial industry experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate must possess excellence in organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.The position requires demonstrated experience in integrating and coordinating diverse areas of management.Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance related issues.
Language Ability
Must possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. The ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals is needed. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public is also necessary.
Math Ability
The ability to apply advanced concepts of accounting is required.
Reasoning Ability
Handles detailed, complex concepts and problems, balances multiple tasks simultaneously, and makes rapid decisions regarding administrative and executive issues. Must display excellent analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications,word processing software, spreadsheet software, accounting software and database software.
Certificates and Licenses
CPA is highly preferred.
