Job summary

Mister “P” Express in Indiana is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to manage payroll and receivables, with backup support for accounts payable. The role involves processing payroll with McLeod software, entering data in Excel, auditing payroll for accuracy, and handling daily deposits.

You will also contact customers for collections and assist payable tasks as needed. Required is a High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in Excel

Qualifications

• 2 years accounting experience.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data.
• Basic Office experience, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Payroll settlement processing in McLeod trucking software.
• Enter and maintain payroll data in Excel and in software.
• Review and audit payroll for accuracy and discrepancies.
• Create daily bank deposits and posting of funds daily.
• Accounts receivable: make calls and ensure timely payment from customers.
• Back-up accounts payable: support and back up payable processing.
• Assist with invoice matching, payment processing and reconciliations.
• Provide coverage for accounts payable responsibilities when needed.

• Enter & maintain payroll data in Excel & in software.
