Job summary

Gorbel is seeking a Payroll Analyst to ensure accurate, timely payroll across US and Canada, manage tax reporting, and support audits. You will serve as a Workday payroll expert, handle benefits, leave, and retirement contributions, and collaborate with Finance and HR to continuously improve processes in a compliant environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in payroll, strong regulatory knowledge, and proficiency with Workday and ADP Smart Compliance, plus Office 365 skills.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business.
• 5+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, benefits administration and compliance.
• Experience with Workday payroll and ADP Smart Compliance preferred.
• Proficient in O365 suite including Excel, Word, Teams and SharePoint.
• Experience working with ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for US employees across three companies in Workday.
• Process bi-weekly payroll for Canadian employees in ADP Teams Pay Canada.
• Responsible for payroll invoices and all tax reporting in ADP Smart Compliance.
• Manage payroll taxes, garnishments, quarterly and year end reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Serve as the Workday payroll subject matter expert, maintaining payroll configurations tax settings and integrations.
• Ensure accurate processing of benefits, leave of absences, disability payments and retirement contributions.
• Prepare payroll reports, perform reconciliations, and support audits.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR and external partners to continuous improve payroll processes and maintain regulatory compliance.
